For five days, Brussels, capital of Belgium and Europe, welcomes some of the greatest international guitarists, some of whom will be performing here for the first time.

Classical, baroque, modern, jazz, Spanish and Latin-American music... The festival presents the multiple facets and varied repertoire of the world's most popular instrument.

Eleven concerts centred on the classical guitar (solo, duo, quartet and ensemble or accompanied by flute, vocals, percussion, piano and cello), a show for children, a theorbo and baroque guitar recital, and the exceptional presentation of Romancero Gitano by Tedesco for mixed choir and guitar, will raise the rafters at the magnificent Espace Magh, right in the heart of the city.

The programme also features: seven master classes, two lectures (one on the Spanish composer Joaquin Turina, the other devoted to the legendary virtuoso Ida Presti), a Guitarmakers Salon and the Brussels National Guitar Competition “Nicolas Alfonso”, the final of which will take place during the festival.

Centred on tradition and modernity, the fourth edition of this event, now an absolute must for all guitar aficionados, promises to be particularly lavish and innovative in scope.
